Cheers to Galentine’s: Introducing ProjectFLEX
Introducing ProjectFLEX
Every year for Women’s History Month we look for ways to highlight and celebrate the amazing women throughout the flexo industry, and this year we will tangibly showcase their talents.
2023 is the inaugural year of ProjectFLEX: An annual print project showcasing the capabilities of the amazing women in the flexographic industry. The idea behind this project was to develop a way for women in the industry to work together to create something that they normally wouldn’t collaborate on.
The project; beer labels.
For this project, Women of Flexo is working with Amor Artis, a family-owned brewery located in downtown Fort Mill, South Carolina. Each year on International Women’s Day, Armor Artis brews a limited edition beer, Boss Lady, using a special blend of hops from the Pink Boots Society. This year, the Women of Flexo community is coming together to create the label for this limited-run brew! Pulling inspiration from flexo and rowdy past times, each label features a unique dual-tone design that screams ‘Boss Lady’.
“We’re so excited to work with Amor Artis Brewing for this project” said Courtney Lesely, WoF Marketing Co-Chair and project lead for ProjectFLEX. “They actually have a location that used to be an old print shop! So playing off of that we thought it would be fun to do a CYMK theme.”
We’re loving the collaboration and teamwork that all the women involved are pouring into this project, and we can’t wait to share more with you! Follow us on LinkedIn to keep up with project updates and sneak peaks at the finished product. The Boss Lady brew will be available in March 2023, and if you’re attending FTA’s InfoFlex in April, keep an eye out for our labels and have a pint with the Women of Flexo.
