A year of growth and camaraderie
Somehow, we’ve already rung in the year 2022! Last year was a whirlwind, but what a blast we had! In 2021, we experienced the slow transition from an online, mid-pandemic work environment to finally being able to see our peers in person again. Women of Flexo kept its mission alive through the thick of it and has seen incredible growth over the past year. We wanted to take a moment to recap what’s been done and thank everyone for their support this past year.
In 2021, WoF hosted three webinars featuring guest speakers from the flexo industry and various WoF committee members.
- Lunch and Learn with Dawn LaRochelle, Jan. 20, “Handling controversy, conflict and crazy personalities in the COVID-era workplace.”
- Lunch and Learn Women of Flexo roundtable, Apr. 21, “Common issues facing women in flexography.”
- Lunch and Learn with Dawn LaRochelle, Sept. 23, “The most important skills to succeed in the post-COVID workplace.”
We look forward to hosting more online events this year!
The WoF team published a variety of blogs this year covering topics on leadership and making a difference in our community and spotlighting several WoF members.

Our Mentorship Committee led a phenomenal program in 2021, connecting flexo mentors with mentees not only domestically, but internationally as well. They hosted various group events and one-on-one sessions where participants got to know the WoF community, and shared experiences and advice between mentors and mentees.

FTA Fall Conference
WoF was officially introduced on-stage at FTA’s 2021 Fall Conference. We hosted a happy hour and got to see some amazing women host sessions and earn awards. Among the speakers were Kim Madigan of Smyth Companies, Jennye Scott of Berry Global, Catherine Haynes of All Printing Resources and Jean Engleke, FTA Hall of Fame inductee.
FTA Hall of Fame
Jean Engleke, WoF Mentorship Committee member, was inducted into the FTA Hall of Fame becoming the 59th member. Announced at the 2021 FORUM event, Engleke has a diverse background in many areas of the flexo supply chain.
